Here I am again blogging happily away. It is 6.43am, I woke at 5.50am after about 9 1/2 hours sleep. Not bad, no real jetlag after a marathon effort getting here. I left home about 9am Wednesday morning Adelaide time (tuesday night French time) and arrived at Matt & Greg's about 1.00pm Thursday French time (Thursday evening Adelaide time - about 8.30pm) - virtually 36 hours (day & a Half) of transit! That sounds a really long way when put like that! Guess what it is!
The flights were good. Had a young guy (Matt's age) next to m.e from Adelaide to Singapore - really nice - he was telling me all about his sky diving ventures. He has jumped more than 640 times. Brave soul. The next leg - Singapore to Zurich was on the new A380 - beautiful plane. I had a seat free between me & the other passenger who didn't speak English. It was as comfortable as it could be for a 12 hour flight. All the meals were great & the staff were really helpful and pleasant. I still think Singapore Airlines is the best. There was a medical emergency on board about 2 hours into the flight so I was concerned that we would be diverted but didn't happen.
Spent a couple of hours at Bar Nat last night & had pizza for tea. The place is as beautiful as ever but very cold at the moment. Heaps of trees out in blossom. Well enough of my inane ramblings. not sure what today holds but will let you know when it eventuates. Driving to London leaving at 5 am on Sunday.

Wow! Yes that was a long flight Heather but I'm glad to see you are up early in France, all bright eyed and bushy tailed!!!
Looking forward to following your travels..even though I'm sitting here at my puter in Goolwa feeling quite envious..:-)
Anyway have a good holiday and come back feeling on top of the world, ready to "attack" the everyday chores with gusto and enthusiasm. xx Gerri
Shouldn't you be asleep Mum?
You are going to the Airbus factory in 1.5 weeks as well too see the A380 production line. We must book accommodation in Carcassonne!
