London is such an enormous metropolis. Adelaide really is a country town. We walked miles yesterday & caught multiple tubes all for the princely sum of about $10 for an off peak day pass. Really good value. We went to the largest Westfield in the world yesterday morning at Shepherd's Bush. Not as many shops as Marion but very prestigious stores like Prada, Louis Vouitton (?), Tiffanys etc - incredibly large floor space and a very luxurious feel to the centre. In the afternoon we changed plans and went on the London Eye. After a 4 minute 3D show with effects we then were ushered into one of the capsules. The security was amazing - photographs taken, bags checked, bodies swiped and as each capsule emptied they were checked with mirrors to ensure that nothing had been stuck under the seats. Quite a comment on what our society has become. The views were amazing. Certainly the way to get your bearings in London.
We then met up with Dave and Jacky in Covent Gardens for a classic English meal at Porters and then on to the West End for Priscilla Queen of the Desert which was amazing, very colourful and very funny.I was sitting next to a woman who was originally from Australia but living in the UK who laughed her way through the whole show. Unfortunately Jason Donovan wasn't in the cast - he has Monday nights off. Coming out at about 10.30pm the streets were still teeming.I've never seen so many people. The tubes were also packed at that time of night.
Not sure what we will be doing today. Matt has gone to pick up the car. I'm still fairly keen to visit the British Museum. I do know it will be early to bed tonight as we leave about 5.00am tomorrow.
The transport system in London is fantastic - everything is so accessible & next to no waiting times. Weather has been reasonable, coolish and overcast most of the time - but the sun has managed to show itself off and on.

Were you tempted to buy any of the Louis Vuitton range?
